After the initial shock wore off and the news sank in, I got excited and each day my love for... [Read the full story]

Week 5 results- Have I hit a plateau already?

March 9, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Hi there, It happened finally my secret dread…. This week I did not a lose a single gram. That was a little hard to take due to the fact that I have been exercising as usual, eating well and generally sticking to the plan. I know this happens- weight never comes off in a perfectly consistant and even way. Everything I read and learn tells me that you need to take an average over at least 4 weeks to see how well you are doing- but it is still hard to get that to sink in!! It is one thing to “know” something with your head and another to believe it with your heart. So, what am I... [Read the full story]

Ahh Movie Night- The Ugly Truth

August 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment

A rare thing happened in our household on Tuesday night. We bundled Max off to Gran’s for the evening so that Mummy & Daddy could have “Date Night”. It was great! For the first time in a long time we felt carefree and in love. Awww…. We even managed to find a movie that we both enjoyed. The ultimate Girl Vs Boy movie The Ugly Truth had us both in stitches and in parts a little shocked Lol apparantly I still blush on dates with Dave. Katherine Heigl plays Abby Richter- a romantically impaired morning news producer. Abbey has been on a life long search for ‘Mr... [Read the full story]

Internet work from home

April 14, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Internet work from home It’s funny how our priorities change when we have children. Even the most dedicated career woman may experience pangs of anxiety at the thought of returning to work post baby. I know that I definitely did. I was 8 months pregnant and adamant that I would be returning to work when Max was 6 months old. Once Max arrived and I held him in my arms for the first time, nothing prepared me for how protective I would feel. He was so little and vulnerable and the thought of leaving him was really hard to take. The thing is though that I love to work. I love the feeling... [Read the full story]
