Meet Rhiannon
Before I got pregnant with my son I knew I would have kids one day. I should probably have put extra emphasis on the ‘one day’ part of that sentence! ‘One Day’ was a magical time way off into the future- when I was ready, when my career was established and when I hadn’t just bought a brand new sports convertible (2 seater).
So imagine my (shall we say) surprise when I looked down at the line on the test that could only mean one thing… I was having a baby! After the initial shock wore off and the news sank in, I got excited and each day my love for my son got stronger. Gradually over that time my priorities changed and my thought processes altered and I became a mum.
When Max was born I was suddenly ready to be mum and really looking forward to the new adventures I was going to have and the sudden turn my life had taken- or so I thought.
I was lucky enough to have 6 months off work at half pay. I was going to struggle to go back to work after only 6 months though right? That’s what everyone kept telling me anyway. There was no way that I would be able to go off to work and leave my son at day care. Well this is the case for many women and luckliy for me and you too- this is no longer something that is necessary!
It is now possible to work at home and earn an income that can support your family and allow you to embrace your new most important role- that as a mother. The ways of doing this – as I haveĀ found, are many and varied and limited mostly by your own imagination! Many things can be done with no prior experience, no special education, limited resources and of course a simple desire and willingness to learn.
I felt it my duty to share the wealth and let other mums in on the secrets that I have uncovered over the last couple of years of my life- it has been an amazing journey for me so far and it can be for you too!
All the best,
Rhiannon
