Week 5 results- Have I hit a plateau already?
It happened finally my secret dread…. This week I did not a lose a single gram. That was a little hard to take due to the fact that I have been exercising as usual, eating well and generally sticking to the plan.
I know this happens- weight never comes off in a perfectly consistant and even way. Everything I read and learn tells me that you need to take an average over at least 4 weeks to see how well you are doing- but it is still hard to get that to sink in!! It is one thing to “know” something with your head and another to believe it with your heart.
So, what am I doing about it? Funnily enough I am eating more! Yep- that’s right I am upping my calory intake from 1200 per day to 1500 per day. I have a sneaky suspicion that perhaps I am just not eating enough for my body to feel that it can let go of those excess stores of energy (or as I like to call it- my muffin top).
We’ll see how this goes….
